Many state and national parks have similar, simple outdoor amphitheaters for various park programs. Besides occasional special park presentations, this amphitheater hosts a Friday evening Bluegrass program during the camping season. On Sunday mornings there is a non-denominational church service. This poster and his wife performed this service from 2007 through 2009. Now local area churches sign up for each of the weeks during camping season.
The amphitheater has a simple plank-floored stage area with back boards for slide shows or the like. A wooden panel opens to disclose an electrical panel for turning on lights and other outlets. The benches are simple plank affairs, but leveled for (relative) comfort. It is a beautiful setting for such a simple gathering place.
