This Wildlife Management Area is unique. There is a walking trail that leads to a weir. The water entering the weir comes from Lower Mission Lake just a small part of a large watershed. It exits to a wetland and then to the Mississippi River. This wetland is to manage what? That's your job - find out what it is managed for and submit the one word answer to the owner of the cache. There are plenty of photo opportunities as well, it would be nice to see one.
Estimated size of the public land (in regional measurement standard: hectares, acres, kms, etc.): 40 acres

Is there a trail system?: Yes

If there is a trail system, please describe length, terrain, etc.:
It is a loop around the wetland which is mostly used by vehicles to monitor the weir. It is also the barrier that maintains the wetland. There is private lands on either side where hunting occurs so orange is recommended during hunting season.

What points of interest are there?:
The weir is the goal and from there you can see the lake, outlet to the river, a great sampling of native flora especially big bluestem grass.

What activities are available?:
Hunting is available, hiking, dog walking, snowshoeing, birding and other wildlife to be seen.

Hours of accessibility?: None posted - daylight hours recommended.

List of known hazards (cliffs, snakes, poison plants, etc.):
There is poison ivy in the area bu if you stay on the trail there should be no issues.

Dogs Allowed?: Yes

Is a permit/fee required?: No

If a permit/fee is required please describe in detail how to get one, how much, etc.: Not listed

Please supply the website of the land if available: Not listed

Visit Instructions:
