Starkey Covered Bridge is also known as Long Creek No. 1 Covered Bridge. It was built in 1912 and today has a maximum weight limit of 10 tons. It is 225 feet long and has a vertical clearance of 14 feet or 4.3 meters.
The bridge originally had a remarkable wooden approach way, however due to the great amount of traffic and age the bridge has had the approach upgraded to present day standards.
