Brocklehurst, named after Ernest Brocklehurst, is a neighbourhood of Kamloops. It is on the north shore of the Thompson River, across from the west end of Kamloops.
ERNEST BROCKLEHURST
Remittance man, Ernest Brocklehurst, came to Kamloops in 1900, built a fine house and planted orchards on the North Shore. He imported a small pack of foxhounds from Britain so he could continue his love of fox hunting. Brocklehurst returned to England with his family in 1907, never to return.
