Direkt neben dem Eingangsbereich des Oldenburger Arbeitsamtes, im Schnittpunkt von Zufahrt, Promenade und Hafenbecken, steht diese 6,5 Meter hohe und weithin sichtbare Plastik von Bernhard Luginbühl. Sie weist eine ganze Reihe maritimer Details auf wie Anker, Poller, Schiffsschrauben und Ketten. Diese Eisenteile sind mit einer matten, rauhen Rostschicht überzogen.
Die Großplastik Olderburgerring ist eine Auftragsarbeit für das Oldenburger Arbeitsamt. Der Schweizer Bildhauer Bernhard Luginbühl (1929 - 2011) verarbeitete zusammen mit seinen Söhnen, Ivan und Brutus, ca. zehn Tonnen Eisen, Teile die er auf der Oldenburger Brandt-Werft vorfand. Per Schiff wurde das fertige Werk von der Werft zu ihrem Bestimmungsort gebracht.
Right next to the entrance of the Oldenburg Employment Office, at the intersection of driveway, promenade and harbour, stands this 6,5 meters high and widely visible sculpture by Bernhard Luginbühl. It has a whole series of maritime details, such as anchor, bollards, propellers and chains. These iron parts are coated with a matt, rough and rusty layer.
The large sculpture Olderburgerring is a commissioned work for the Oldenburg Employment Office. The Swiss sculptor Bernhard Luginbühl (1929 - 2011) processed, together with his sons Ivan and Brutus, about ten tons of iron, parts he found at the Oldenburg shipyard Brandt. Per ship the finished work was brought from the shipyard to its destination.
