This British post stamp issued in 2014 by UniversalMail, from series devoted to English Heritage, depicts a one of London' landmarks - Wellington Arch.
Wellington Arch was built in the late 1820s to mark Britain’s triumph over Napoleonic France by architect Decimus Burton. The Arch' top was initially decorated by an equestrian statue of Wellington, but since 1912, Captain Adrian Jones’s 38 t bronze 'Peace Descending on the Quadriga of War' has finished it. Inside the arch is a small museum devoted to the history of the Arch.
The stamp was issued by UniversalMail United Kingdom Ltd., not by Royal Mail.
