Wagin Post office was built in the same style and around the same time (1912 - 1913 )as many others in the southwest of W.A , including Narrogin and Katanning. The building is a single-storey structure in the Federation Arts & Craft style, designed by Hillson Beasley, Government Architect.
The main entry to the post office is by two corner porticoes, one at each end of the principal facade. The porticoes each contain an elevated porch and have two large semi-circular archways supported by a corner brick column.
Opening hours - Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700 , closed weekends for a wide range of services
Wagin's name derives from an aboriginal word wejing meaning 'place of emus'
