The first Congregational Church was built in 1774 at the top of Northbridge Hill. The first Congregational Church (Society) in the village of Whitinsville was organized in 1833 with 33 members and built the first church in 1846. This church was used until a fire destroyed the original church and the present one was built in 1898.
