Little is known about Agnes Core Haggo (1902-1996). It is known that there were four artists in the Haggo family and that they were members of the Letchworth Art Society. Three of them are represented in the collection of Letchworth Museum and Art Gallery.
The artist would have painted the picture from the field across the road from the farm. The main road, Walnut Tree Rd, passes directly by the end wall of the farm house. The field opposite is below the Toot Hill motte and bailey. The painting, oil on canvas, is in the collection of Letchworth Museum & Art Gallery.
