This plaza is a beautifully landscaped oasis filled a black spot created by a razed decayed building. This town is a rural community in the Texas Panhandle, population of 1 thousand. The downtown area houses a small library, the Smithsonian Listed White Deer on a tower in the middle of the street, the plaza.
The plaza consists of a flagpole surrounded by a squared-off area of dedicated bricks at the end of a stone walkway. There are paved paths, benches, a lot of vegetation, a few big shade trees, and an arch-type gazebo. This must be a cool and wonderful place for the local workers to enjoy a lunch break.
