Hrbitovní kostel sv. Vojtecha stojí v míste slovanské osady, která vznikla ve 12. století pri brodu na Haberské stezce spojující Cechy na Moravu. Dnešní kostel stojí na míste dnes starší gotické stavby z 13. století, který byl nejstarším kostelem ve meste. Soucasný kostel je renesancní s pozdne gotickými prvky. Poprvé je uváden roku 1538. Hrbitov u kostela je zminován na konci 16. století. Behem dalších let byl kostel zvýšen a interiér zaklenut renesancní žebrovou hvezdicovou klenbou, byla pristavena severní sín s patrem a orator v lodi. Z této doby rovnež pocházejí fresky, v nedávné dobe restaurované. Kolem kostela je tzv. starý hrbitov. Vstupní renesancní brána s mestským znakem je datována 1617. Po roce 1783 se stal hlavním mestským hrbitovem. Pohrbívalo se na nem do roku 1961.

Cemetery Church stands in place of a Slavic settlement, which was established in the 12th century at a ford on Haberská path connecting Bohemia and Moravia. The present church stands on the site today older Gothic buildings from the 13th century, which was the oldest church in the city. The present church is Renaissance with late Gothic elements. The first is referred to the year 1538. The cemetery near the church is mentioned at the end of the 16th century. Over the years, the church was raised and interior vaulted by Renaissance star-ribbed vault was built north hall with floor and oratory in the nave. From this period also come frescoes, recently restored.
