This firehall-themed birdhouse is named the "Adam Sohye Firehall".

Since 1979, the Mesachie Lake Volunteer Fire Department has hosted an annual ball tournament at the nearby park, originally with the intent to raise funds for an upgrade to the firehall. However, when fire chief Nick Sohye and his wife learned that their son Adam had muscular dystrophy, the focus of the fundraising shifted. Through the annual ball tournament and auction, the fire department raises tens of thousands of dollars each year, and has raised over $500,000 for muscular dystrophy research over the years.

At the time of this visit, it wasn't completely clear whether the birdhouse is functional. The cleanliness of the three entrances seems to indicate that birds are not actively using this birdhouse.
