EN: The Fischerhaus is located on the Baselstrasse at the former outskirts of Riehen. The property was first mentioned in 1284. From 1759 it has been owned owned by the family Fischer, who let construct the current building in the 1780s. Shortly after various agricultural outbuildings were added. The family quit farming in 1966 and the outbuildings were demolished. The house was renovated in 1973/74 and declared a Regional Monument. It has since served as a dormitory for young persons.

DE: Das Fischerhaus befindet sich an der Baselstrasse am ehemaligen Dorfrand von Riehen. Die Liegenschaft wurde 1284 erstmals erwähnt. Sie befand sich ab 1759 im Besitz der Familie Fischer, die das heutige Gebäude in den 1780er Jahren neu erbauen liessen. Kurz darauf entstanden noch verschiedene landwirtschaftliche Nebengebäude. Die Familie gab die Landwirtschaft 1966 auf und die Nebengebäude wurden abgerissen. Das Wohnhaus wurde 1973/74 renoviert und unter Denkmalschutz gestellt. Es dient seither als Wohnheim.
