BUTTERFIELD STAGE LINE
OVERLAND MAIL

"The Butterfield Overland Mail Route was popular in the 1850's. The Stage stopped in Warsaw at what is now the Reser Funeral Home. There is a plaque on the courthouse lawn explaining this. There were many stations along the way. Follow the link above for more information. The Butterfield mail route was a forerunner to the Pony Express." ~ Benton County Missouri Historical Society
