This ghost signs located on the side of an old railroad hotel that served the Memphis Central Railroad station which has opened a block away in 1912. The Pullman rooms were one of many railroad hotels that proliferated in this area of Memphis to house passengers, businessmen, railroad workers, and others who worked in industries connected to the railroad.

"Pullman Hotel - 520 S. Main
The Pullman Hotel is Listed in the 1917- 1958 Memphis Directories. Built in 1912, this hotel was named for the Pullman railroad sleeper cars, and was one of the numerous small hotels near Central and Union Stations. Passengers as well as railroad workers frequented these hotels. Most of the buildings in the South Main Historical District are now used as private residences."
