It also includes an incredible kelp forest exhibit, the only aquarium kelp forest in the world. All exibits are indicative of native Monterey Bay wildlife. Just outside of the aquarium, harbor seals, sea lions, and otters can easily be seen in the bay. A large kelp forest is located near the aquarium, which is housed in a defunct cannery.
