1839 Built cabin on "WIG HILL"
1840 First general. storekeeper, Justice of peace, Center Creek Township
1841 First postmaster for 30 years. Post office called Blytheville
1952 County Surveyor
1860-65 Built brick home finished after Civil War
1871 Plotted first homesite of 9 blocks & named it Joplin City
1873 Associate Judge county court
