Impressive walk-in grotto built of stone and cement located near the southern edge of St John The Baptist Cemetery.

There is a statue of Mary holding the crucified Christ within the "sanctuary". There is a "step-up" area that has been used for placement of votives. There is a stone-ringed earth area in front of the grotto. In addition, there is a large carved stone altar located about 30 meters to the north along the paved path.

Access is from the west via Sandridge Road north of the town of Alden.
