Since opening in 1988 we have been located in Hardy, Arkansas and make our instruments right here in the Ozark Mountains. Our goal from the beginning was to build quality, good sounding instruments at an affordable price and to make sure you have a good understanding of how to play them. We have not wavered from that philosophy. We invite you to come to Hardy, Arkansas and visit our store, our area, and our people. Camping, canoeing, trout fishing (walleye, bass and catfish, too), shopping, antiques, and much more. A great place to live and a great place to visit, the Hardy area has lots to offer. - Flat Creek Dulcimer Shop
This one-story red and brown brick building is located at 119 East Main Street. The building is currently occupied by a dulcimer shop. The lower portion of the building is in red brick; the upper portion appears to have had repairs done in brown brick and upper windows may have been infilled. The cornice is metal
The fenestration of the building is a central entryway with a single wood and glass door. On either side of this recessed entryway is a sharply angled bay storefront window that adjoins the bay storefront window that parallels the street. A glass transom with seven green panes with a stone lintel is above the entire fenestration. The old painted sign "Tompkins Motor Co." can faintly be seen.
