Kinetic sculpture is of five messenger pigeons. There are five pigeons with the five senses on the tails of the birds. David B. Hickman wants us to think about how we communicate with each other. Hickman also has benches below so you can sit and watch the pigeons. This is part of the Public Art Collection Walking Tour. It is in the Quad between several buildings. You will have to park and walk to get to this one. Visible from the road. No parking allowed on Flint or 18th Street.
Free parking after 8 pm on weekdays and free on weekends. Watch where you park during University hours. Paid parking at the School of Art, but limited spaces. Happy hunting!
