Situated in the entrance to a car park, off Yacaaba Street, Nelson Bay, this round-lidded Survey marker (PM27588) has had the lid positioned so as to fit in with the patterned paving.

While the lid has been broken off the hinge, a lever of some sort is still required to open up the lid and inspect the metal identification plate with 27588 stamped on it, and the steel location pin.
This lid has become a bit 'off-set' by the positioning of the pavers laid around it.
Caution is required to access this marker, as it is an active entryway.
