The Confederate Monument is located in the old Courthouse Square.

The monument is situated in the center of the square. It is about 20 feet tall and on the top a civil war Confederate soldier is ready to fight the North. The plaque at the bottom of the monument says, "1861 In memory of the Confederate Soldiers of Chesterfield and Manchester 1865" On the other side of the monument, a plaque in Latin says, "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori." The monument is part of the square and made of stones.
