On the Harrison Trial to Grass Lake from the Sooke Potholes we came across a dead vehicle. It has been here for some time and trees have fallen across the wreck.

On the Guys' hikes we often come across dead vehicles. As we are guys of a certain age, we inspect these dead vehicles closely to determine the vintage, make and model. Here the determinant was the large circular tail lights suggestive of rocket exhaust, suggesting a Ford Fairlane 1962 to 1964, The 1961 also had a diminutive fin, a carry over from the 1950's. The tail lights of the 1965 were more square. These bracketed the vintage of this dead vehicle. Those years were our times of transition from youth to adult, times when we knew the subtle silly changes in cars from year to year.
Make and model: Ford Fairlane

Year: 1963
