VFW Post 382 is located on old Route 66 southeast of El Reno. This is the oldest VFW post in Oklahoma. In front of the post, this memorial stands as a monument to those who served our country.
The monument consists of a brick wall about six feet high, and a flag pole. On the side of the wall is a stone reading POW - MIA. Beneath this is a metal plate attached to the wall showing an angry eagle's head shedding a tear. It reads: "Everyone Remembers / POW-MIA / You are not Forgotten / No One Forgets".
To each side of the wall is a display of two depth charges with their launching mechanism.
