Marker text reads:
"A legendary sailor and fisherman, Captain Angus J. Walters symbolizes Nova Scotia's seafaring heritage. He won five consecutive International Fishermen's Races at the helm of the famed schooner Bluenose between 1921 and 1938, a source of tremendous pride for Nova Scotians and Canadians, especially during the Great Depression. A highliner captain, Walters landed some of the largest catches brought into Lunenburg Harbour by a sailing vessel.
