EN: The Amtshaus of Baden is located in the heart of the historic center near the town hall.
The origin of the three-storey building dates back to the 14th century and originally served as a market house and salt storage. In the second half of the 16th century it was converted into a administrative building. In the 1860s and 1870s, it was completely rebuilt in several stages.
The house now houses offices of the municipal administration and the police station.
DE: Das Amtshaus von Baden steht im Zentrum der Altstadt in der Nähe des Rathauses.
Das dreistöckige Gebäude stammt im Ursprung aus dem 14. Jahrhundert und diente ursprünglich als Markthaus und Salzspeicher. In der zweiten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts wurde es zu einem Amtshaus umgebaut. In den 1860er und 1870er Jahren wurde es in mehreren Etappen grundlegend umgebaut.
Das Haus beherbergt heute Büros der städtischen Verwaltung und den Polizeiposten.
