Impressive bronze and stone monument dedicated to the members of the Canadian Northwest Field Force who took part in quelling the Northwest Rebellion in 1885.

Monument dedicated to those members of the Canadian Army's Northwest Field Force who fought in the prairie territories and Manitoba during the 1885 uprising led by Louis Riel.
The Northwest Field Force was a unit comprised of soldiers from several regular Canadian Army units, Northwest Mounted Police and local militia units.
During the four skirmishes approximately 40 troops were killed with another 150 wounded. The rebels suffered over 50 dead and about 150 wounded.
The monument consists of Lady Peace holding an olive branch atop a stylized concrete base. The 4 main battles are indicated by bronze markers. There are also three dedication plaques indicating Force members killed in action and the main dedication.
