This work is one of dozens of pieces by Icelandic artist Ásmundur Sveinsson for whom the adjacent Museum is named.
It is entitled "Piltur og Stulka" which Google translates to "Boys and Girls". It depicts a young couple hugging each other closely, the woman's head nestled under his. Perhaps they are slow dancing. The bronze sculpture is dated 1931.
