The Kinsmen Theatre was dedicated June 8th, 1986 and was constructed by Canyonview Construction Ltd.

The Kinsmen Theatre is the focal point of many musical events that take place in Memorial Park. There are free live entertainment venues during the summer months.

Memorial Park is an urban park in downtown Summerland where many festivals and events take place. There are large grassy areas, mature shade trees, picnic tables, washrooms, playground, benches and the Kinsmen Theatre, also referred to as The Bandshell. Also within the park is the Summerland Horseshoe Club with about 16 pits. There is a large mural of yellow daisies on their club house. Within Memorial Park is a war memorial dedicated to Veterans of Summerland.
