Placed by the Rotarians of Penticton, the memorial consists of a granite drinking fountain with a bronze plaque mounted on the front. The fountain consists of two pieces of granite, a vertically mounted slab with a nearly conical piece attached, serving as the fountain.

The fountain was placed by the Rotarians in June of 1955. It stands on a thick granite base surrounded by a square of brick pavers, the square being about ten to twelve feet on each side.

Behind the memorial fountain is the park, a mostly open grassed area with several large trees scattered about and several benches. Further north is a sand and gravel beach on the south end of Okanagan Lake.
