This Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad was also known as the Chessie System which also operated the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and several other small regional railroads. The Chessie System itself did not own any locomotives or other rolling stock; rather, equipment would be placed on the roster of one of the component railroads. While all of the companies shared a common paint scheme of yellow, and blue, actual ownership of the equipment was denoted by the reporting marks C&O or B&O. This Chessie System caboose features the famous "Chessie" the kitten logo. The caboose is located in the Rainelle Town Park and sits directly in front of the Town Hall and Police Department.
