Back Cullen Cemetery operated between 1849 and 1915. The cemetery contains 5 monuments in respect of 9 burials. In addition, there are 10 known but unmarked burials. The Cullen Bullen Tidy Towns Committee maintain the cemetery & provided the following information to Australian Cemeteries Index:

"The Back Cullen Cemetery was part of the original land grant given to Robert Dulhunty in 1824. In 1840, due to the Depression, Sir John Jamison acquired the property and held the title until his death in 1844. In 1844 the land was leased to John McLean who set aside the land for a cemetery and paid for the first grave in the cemetery in which John Tyass is interred. John Tyass was a convict who worked for John McLean. When John Tyass died, John McLean paid for his grave out of respect and for services given."

The cemetery has views over lush pastures.
