From Smithsonian description IAS NY000765: "An abstract fountain sculpture consisting of intersecting planes of broken I-beams in two welded configurations. "
"The fountain sculpture was commissioned specifically for Binghamton's Governmental Plaza and cost $205,000. Funding was provided by Binghamton's Art in Public Places One Percent for Art Program."

The Masao Kinoshita creation originally included water fountains and lighting from below.
The intent was to create a multi-colored mist out of which rose the beams in a similar rebirth theme as Cono Tronco.
The Superintendent of the State Office Building, Adam Wright, tells NewsChannel 34 that he's submitted a proposal to the state to have the fountains and lighting repaired."
