This is the last tunnel before the Grand Union canal reaches Birmingham. It allows for two way traffic as the Grand Union canal is what is known as a broad beam canal which is the width of two narrowboats.

The tunnel is unique in the UK in that it has a separate towpath tunnel for the horses.
