This fountain was used until 1910. At this time Straßenhaus was a small village with only 16 houses. In 1945 this well was reactivated because the water-pipeline has been damaged by the war. The well has been renewed in 2007 by the 'Heimatverschönerungsverein' (Home beautifying club) Straßenhaus.
