Collins Bay Marina is a 300 slip facility with docks ranging from 18 feet to large enough to handle power and sail boats up to 50 feet long. The marina has been continually updated since its inception in 1971.

Every slip enjoys a full finger dock for easy access, simple docking and secure tie up. The floating steel pipe docks are rock stable with a high freeboard and wide walkways that are fully lit for night time safety. Each finger is equipped with four cleats and a corner fender and is wide enough for dock carts to go right to the boat. Near shore fingers are built to accommodate wheelchair access. The unique design, incorporating main dock bridges between floating finger docks, allows fresh water circulation throughout the marina.
Power & Water

Power and water are provided at every slip. The larger docks have marine twistlock outlets with breakers that can be set for either 15 or 30 Amp service. The smaller docks have 15 Amp U Ground outlets with ground fault interruption.

Private washrooms and showers are locked and reserved for customers.

The fuel dock provides convenient access to gas, diesel fuel, ice, soft drinks and engine oils. In addition a vacuum pump out facility that is fast and efficient is provided. The fuel dock is open at 8 AM every morning and stays open until 6 pm Monday to Thursday, 8 PM on Friday and Saturday and 7 PM on Sunday.

The marina is equipped with high speed wireless internet equipment to provide access by boaters from their slip. The service is provided free of charge to both seasonal and transient boaters.

Marina staff have all received first aid training, and have well defined emergency procedures, instructions, equipment and communications. The marina hosts annual safe boating events, including arrangeing for boat safety inspections and regularly invite public safety professionals into the marina for familiarization and training.

For boaters safety the site and docks are well lit, the owners live on site year round. The area and nearby parks are patrolled regularly and the marina is home to the E. V. McNeil, the Ontario Provincial Police boat.

A large parking area provides plenty of free parking next to the docks. A Dead Slow speed limit is suggested.

Commodore's Quote

"Our club is a vibrant association of boat owners operating from the Collins Bay Marina and we offer a full round of activities for all boating enthusiasts in a setting which provides easy access to both Lake Ontario and the Thousand Islands. Collins Bay is a short 30 minute sail just west of the venue for the 1976 Olympic sailing courses and provides some of the best fresh-water sailing in Canada.

Collins Bay Yacht Club has a weekly Thursday night club race program and several challenging distance races each season as well as an active cruising schedule of both the weekend type and a week-long cruise each year. Reciprocity with many other clubs provides members with destination sailing and ensures a steady stream of visitors to the area each year.

There is a full social calendar to promote fellowship amongst the members which includes several off-season events as well as many during the boating season.

The club also operates a sailing school for both our local youth and adults as well and also provides summer employment for CYA qualified instructors.

We hope you will consider membership in our club, particularly if you are based in Collins Bay Marina and when cruising the area from other clubs, please pay us a visit. Check out our Calendar of Events for the current year and you will see that our schedule is packed with activities for every type of boater.
