The current font is near the entrance and is a round stone bowl - rather ugly in my opinion - and probably dates fron the victorian restorations of 1892. The true star is a rather beaten up looking octagonal font dating from the 14th century. Hidden at the north east end of the church under a collection of percussion instruments. As is the usual story for some of these old fonts, it was apparently found buried outside in the churchyard.
