Treffpunkt Freizeit is a community center with focus on children of all ages.
Local Artist Annette Messig spent two years working with children, laying mosaics on concrete balls, creating a "Planet Garden" (Planetengarten in German).
The first planets were placed in December 2013, the
installation of the Sun in April 2016 completed the model. |

The size of the planets is to scale, but we are not sure about the distance.
First we thought they left out Pluto, but we found it hidden in the bushes, thus the distance actually might be to scale too.
