Ce lavoir est situé sur la commune d'Ancey. Il est situé à la sortie du bourg, à gauche du chemin menant aux anciens fours à chaux, derrière la gare de Mâlain. La source qui alimente encore aujourd'hui le lavoir était déjà aménagée depuis l'époque gallo-romaine, trois aqueducs de pierre conduisaient l'eau à Mediolanum, antique cité gallo-romaine.

La configuration du lavoir telle qu'on peut la voir actuellement est remarquable avec à sa base, en contrebas, trois bassins pavés qui servaient au rouissage du chanvre.

Vous pourrez admirer la vue sur la vallée de l'Ouche et aussi sur le château de Mâlain.

This wash house is situated on the municipality of Ancey. It is situated at the exit of the village, to the left of the path leading to the old lime kilns, behind the station of Mâlain. The spring which feeds even today the wash house was already fitted out since the Gallo-Roman time, three stony aqueducts led the water to Mediolanum, quoted classic art Gallo-Roman.

The configuration of the wash house such as we can see it at present is remarkable with on its base, below, three paved ponds which were of use to the retting of the hemp.

You can admire the sight on the valley of Ouche and also on the castle of Mâlain.
