In Whitehall, near the center of the village, is the Whitehall Station along the Amtrak Adirondack Route.

The station is off Main Street and on the west side of the Champlain Canal, about a tenth mile south of the bridge that crosses the canal.

The station is a simple brick shelter that is not much bigger than about 15 ft x 15 ft. It has a pointed shingle roof. No other facilities are available. I'm not sure the age of the shelter, but it definitely is modern. A Wikipedia article has a picture with a caption stating that the station was reconstructed in 2o13 - not sure what it looked like before the reconstruction.
