D & H Caboose, No. 35843 - Whitehall, NY - Train Cabooses on Waymarking.com

In Whitehall, next to the Skenesborough Museum is this caboose with "D&H" on the side.

The caboose is easily visible from Main Street. It is between the Skenesborough Museum and the remnants of the U.S.S. Ticonderoga. The caboose is enclosed in a fence and it does not appear that you can climb on it.

The caboose is a raised cab type with the cab near one end. The wood planks are vertical, with diagonal bracing at both ends. Two windows are on the side, and windows are on the cab. Between the windows on the side is a shield with "The D&H" on it, then, below "D&H" and "35843."
