The Central Western Line reached Blackwater in 1877 but no longer has a passenger service. Today it is electrified & freight, particularly coal, is king. The Guard Van has a number which is unusual. The Guard Van, an old coal wagon & a steam engine are coupled together on a short length of rail line in the park. There is no access to the van & no information about it or the other components. It is in a poor state of repair & the roof is not original.
