In Ticonderoga, within the grounds of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum, is this historical marker about the French Lines dug here.

Fort Ticonderoga Museum had a rebuilt fort and staff telling stories about the fort and demonstrating living at the fort. From the center of the village of Ticonderoga, go east on New York Route 74 for about a mile, then, right after a railroad crossing, take a right onto the access road to the museum. After paying the admission fee, drive on the road to the parking lot at the fort, then turn on the exit road for about a half mile to the sign along the road.

The sign has the following text:

"The French Lines
Built by troops under Montaclm July 6-7 1758. Repaired by American Troops 1776"
