The Medici Fountain is located in the Jardin du Luxembourg, in Paris. In Jean Rhys's novel "Good Morning, Midnight", the main character, Sasha, is an English woman, living in Paris. She has lost a child soon after birth and has been depressed for a long period. She sometimes comes to the Gardens to just get her mond straight. Near the center of Part I, Sasha goes to the Fountain after having her hair dyed blond. She indicates that she feels peaeful here watching the fish in the pond.
