"The parking lot below the strip mall sat vacant until earlier this year. Unexpectedly, a Bromdignagian can of mustard appeared in the lot. Then a few other things. Without warning, the world’s largest largest hot dog cart appeared. We were ecstatic!
We have a fondness for hot dogs. After all, the modern hot dog was invented just down the road at the 1904 World’s Fair.* We’ve eaten at some of the best hot dog places on earth. We’ve had a classic Chicago style hot dog in the City of Big Shoulders. In St. Louis, we highly recommend the pretzel dog at Gus’s. We’ve sat in the bleachers in Chavez Ravine and had a Dodger Dog. If you’re driving through Springfield, Illinois, get yourself a Cozy Dog, the home of the original corn dog. We’ve had hot dogs in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Puka Dog is what a hot dog tastes like in paradise. Every year on Independence Day, we gather around the television to watch the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. Yes, we love hot dogs. Hot dogs are the American flag of food.
"Our visit to the Hot Dog Man was everything we could hope for. On the approach, we saw the amazing bright yellow giant mustard can. It is truly huge." ~ eateverywhereinwashmo
