The Yosemite museum was constructed in 1924 and completed in 1926. A cornerstone on the right hand side of the front entrance indicates when the building was constructed and a dedication plaque just above it indicates it was completed. The museum is a two story building where the ground level is built using granite slaps from the valley. The upper level is built using logs and wood, also from the valley. This immensely helped push the costs down of construction.
