ANZAC Park, on Vernon Street, has not only a beautiful bronze sculpture of Simpson and his donkey, but memorial plaques for other conflicts that the locals have been represented at.

While ANZAC Park was first dedicated 25 April, 1970, other memorials have been added since. With the most recent (I believe, info from Monument Australia) being Friday 11th November, 2005.
