These lion statues can be found just off the Main Street in the village of Glamis. They stand on top of the gates which were built in 2008 in memory of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother whose childhood home was at Glamis Castle. The gates were officially unveiled on April 21st 2008 by her grandson, Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay. They were designed by Lachlan Stewart in a pinkish Wattscliffe Sandstone.
