Philadelphia Cemetery is located on Fannin County Road 3710, just south of FM 68, west of Gober, TX. It's easy to locate, especially with a sign out on FM 68, pointing the way. At one time, there was a church here, too, but it's not clear as to what kind of community was in the area back in the day. The cemetery is still active, with just a little over two hundred burials.

The complex itself could use a little bit of maintenance, as the main house has worked itself free of its nails, and will probably fall when guests try to move in. All three houses have metal roofs -- the main house has one over the entry to the main floor -- and each has the remains of neat little ladders that go up to the entry. Besides being two stories, the main house is very different from the other two homes in that it has a decorative chimney, made up of very small stones. The complex stands on a platform on a pole that it is nearly five feet, and while decorative, it is probably easy prey for visitors from the ground, as well as from the tree that stands over it.
