A note on the RDHS Wiki, a Local & Family History Wiki for the Central Tablelands of NSW states (visit link) : St Stephen’s Bylong was opened October 1876. £150 debt paid off by John Lee. The ground was provided John Thomas Tindale and Anthony Nesbitt Tindale of Bylong. Deed of Trust was dated 18 October 1878. It was dedicated and consecrated 23 March 1881. The burial ground was consecrated at the same time. Rector William Skinner Wilson of Parish of Merriwa.

The cemetery is at the rear of the church & is well maintained. The headstone is that of Eliza Davis & is worded:

In Loving Memory of Eliza Davis who died October 28th 1922 aged 83 years and 7 months Mother at Rest.
